Welders Nz

Job opportunities for welders are good due to a shortage in New Zealand

There are no specific entry requirements to become a welder, but to become a fully qualified welder you need to complete a National Certificate in Welding (Level 3), or a similar qualification. This can be completed by studying full-time for six to nine months, or as part of an industry traineeship where skills are learnt on the job. A pre-apprenticeship course may be useful for gaining a welding traineeship.
